Commodore Perry Estate Wedding in Austin, Texas | Aneta + Andrés
March 7, 2022
Andrés and Aneta got married at the Commodore Perry Estate, a 10-acre setting in the middle of Austin, Texas, that makes you feel like you’re in Italy. The spacious gardens, European architecture, and elegant interior make it an ideal place to get married at if you’re looking for your day to scream elegance. On her day, Aneta wore a mini wedding dress that complimented the vibe of the Commodore Perry Estate. If I could describe their wedding, it would be “minimalist elegance”.

Pros of getting married at the Commodore Perry Estate
Friendly and attentive staff.
The gardens and architecture guarantee your pictures will be breathtaking.
It’s a good option if you want your wedding venue to look like you’re in Europe without making everybody travel there!
There’s different spaces and rooms inside where you can get more creative photos, but keep in mind, if you wish to rent a space to have it be completely for you without the traffic of other hotel guests, that comes at an extra price.
There’s a 1,600 square foot chapel with vaulted ceilings. Light can be tricky for photos in chapels, but I have to say, there were plenty of windows in there to make for pretty lighting.
If you get married in spring or summer, the outdoor space is beautiful for the reception.
You can stay the night at the hotel, which is quite the experience! See the room options here.
Cons of getting married at the Commodore Perry Estate
All that elegance and beauty of course comes at a higher price tag.
They can be a little strict with their rules. For example, if you dream of a sparkler exit, they do not allow it. So if you have something specific that you want, make sure to ask if it’s allowed before booking the place!
Aneta’s and Andrés’ wedding reception was supposed to be outdoors, but last minute, the weather did not cooperate. This meant the reception ended up taking place indoors. The indoors space was beautiful, but certainly not the vibe of being outdoors in those gardens, so just keep that in mind if you choose to get married during fall or winter.
Aneta’s and Andrés’ Wedding Day
Now to the best part! Aneta's and Andrés’ wedding day was what I would describe as my dream wedding. Ever since the beginning of getting in touch with them, they were so relaxed and made it clear that they weren’t going to follow all the wedding day “standards” out there. They were making it their own day. It was intimate, with only 20 guests, and boy was it worth it! Every person there meant so much to them, and that made the day that much more special. Aneta is from Poland, and her family traveled 22 hours to Texas be present on her wedding day! Did I mention that her sister did it all while being pregnant? If that’s not love, I don’t know what love is!
And then there’s the groom. We love a groom that can’t stop the tears when he sees the bride! It was quite an effort for me to not put my camera down and start crying with them.
Being to capture all of that emotion is why I decided to become a wedding photographer in the first place. It is those pictures that I take with the hope that one day years from now, you will look at and remember how you felt that day. Those pictures that you might one day share with your children if that’s in your future, and show them exactly how full of love and joy your wedding was. All of those little things that make your wedding yours. And I hope that you, in the process of planning your wedding, don’t get distracted with making this grandiose day to please everybody else. My wish for you is to have a wedding that represents your love, a wedding that you actually enjoy. I hope that this story helps you bring you back to the basis of it all, that your wedding day is a day to simply celebrate your love with the ones you love the most. Thank you Aneta and Andrés for giving us a story that reminds us of this!
